Begin with the occasion rather than the most photographed terrace. For a meal that anchors the day, compare Zori’s restaurant with the Meneghello dining setting; for a more social afternoon, investigate Laganini’s current programme. These are different propositions, not interchangeable reservations. Ask for the current menu, dietary arrangements and expected spending before confirming. A high-profile address is not automatically the right setting for a quiet conversation.
Arrange both ends of the crossing
Tell the boat operator the restaurant’s name, your reservation time and whether you are carrying luggage. Ask which shore the boat serves, whether the walk to the table includes uneven paths or steps, and where the return pickup takes place. Keep the operator’s contact offline. Book the return separately unless it is explicitly included; do not assume that an advertised outward crossing guarantees a late boat home.
Make room for the afternoon
Our suggested rhythm is one swim, one long lunch and time to wander, rather than a race between venues. Bring drinking water, sun protection and footwear suited to paths as well as the boat. Staying overnight changes the question: compare the exact accommodation unit and its transfer arrangements, not simply the Palmižana name. Make the arrival part of the plan
Before paying, agree the departure point, the exact destination and the return arrangement. Ask whether luggage, waiting time and a change of plan are included. A named bay is more useful than “Pakleni” when arranging transport. For a restaurant visit, let the venue confirm the appropriate landing. Leave time between the island return and any onward ferry; a tightly timed connection is not worth building a relaxed day around.

Choose one part of an island to enjoy properly. Carry your water and take your rubbish back rather than counting on facilities in every cove.
